1983 Topps Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Trading Cards

The 1983 Topps Star Wars: Return of the Jedi cards consists of multiple series, 1 and 2, boasting 132 and 88 cards, respectively, and highlighting the third edition of the original Star Wars trilogy. The Return of the Jedi series also distributed one sticker card per each 12-card pack, totaling 33 stickers for Series 1, including color variations and 22 for Series 2.

Series 1 features an outer red border with a yellow and black outline surrounding the story scene and caption, while Series 2 is bordered in blue.

The first card in Series 1 is a title card followed by 12 character cards and then #14-130 depicted clips from the film with the final two in the series being checklists. On the reverse of each numbered back in Series 1 is text explain the front of the card as well as a full-body drawing of one of the primary characters in the film. Series 2 examples show the spacecrafts, characters, action scenes and aliens with each back again featured the full-body drawing of a main character with trivia questions listed as a “Star Quiz.”

Key additions to this dual-series set include: Luke Skywalker (#2), Darth Vader (#3), Han Solo (#4), Princess Leia Organa (#5), Lando Calrissian (#6), Chewbacca (#7) and C-3PO and R2-D2 (#8).
